What Causes Skin Lesions?
Any area of your skin that is different from the surrounding skin in terms of colour, shape, size, or texture is referred to by the phrase.
These characteristics are expected to develop as you age. In order to determine whether the CryoPen will allay your concerns, we'll look at some of the most common skin lesions that can be treated with it.
Age spots are the result of an excess melanin production brought on by skin ageing, whereas sun spots are caused by continuous sun exposure and can also be caused by using tanning beds.
Typically, both of these can be eliminated with just one CryoPen treatment in Poole. The FDA has approved Cryopen.

Cryopen is a sophisticated kind of cryotherapy that is far more advanced than spray-can cryotherapy. It releases nitrous oxide at a significantly lower temperature and at a greater pressure than conventional versions, making it a very rapid and effective therapy. It can penetrate to a depth of 5 mm and treat a 2 mm lesion in only 10 seconds, saving you money on repeat treatments.
Due to the numerous applicator tips that may be used for different-sized lesions, the therapy is incredibly safe and will only treat the lesion and not the surrounding skin, thus it will not cause any unintended tissue damage and can be used safely on the face and neck.
Cryopen is CE and FDA-approved for the safe excision of lesions.
Cryotherapy is the use of intense cold or freezing to eliminate aberrant skin tissue. It employs liquid nitrous oxide to damage tissue by freezing the intercellular fluid to generate ice shards and crystals that breach the cell membrane, so destroying the cell. It is very effective and safe for treating a range of benign lesions.
How is the therapy administered?
Depending on the size and depth of the lesion, your practitioner will hold the applicator as near as feasible to the lesion and move it swiftly around the region, towards and away.
After the initial freezing cycle, we will allow the tissue to defrost for about 30 seconds before repeating the freezing procedure.
How long will the procedure last?
It takes few seconds for us to treat patients. Depending on the extent of the lesions, the actual freezing procedure may take up to 90 seconds, but it is often considerably shorter. If there are several lesions to freeze, the treatment may take somewhat longer, but it is still a fairly rapid process.
Is the procedure painful?
This soreness will only last a few minutes after therapy. Occasionally, the region may also seem somewhat swelled, although these are all perfectly typical responses.
